Member Guidelines

Protocol

On entering the premises, Members and their guests are requested to sign the Register kept at Reception.

Members and their guests are expected to be dressed appropriately. The Hammersley Connection Dress Code varies depending upon the activities undertaken. Please consult the Hospitality Team or the website when in doubt.

Noisy or rowdy behaviour in the premises and gardens of Warren House will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to escort any guests from the premises, who, in the opinion of the management are causing excessive disruption or damage.

Access to the main lawn area of Warren House is restricted after 8pm in the evening.

Food and Drink

It is not the policy of Warren House or The Hammersley Connection to permit guests to supply wines, spirits or food for consumption on the premises.

Membership Cards

Please remember to carry your membership card with you whilst at Warren House. You will be asked to produce this card when settling any charges. Please advise the Membership Team as soon as possible if your card is misplaced. Telephone 020 8974 7116.

New Member Nominations

Members of over one year’s standing are encouraged to nominate friends, family or colleagues as potential members of The Hammersley Connection. This entitles them to further benefits as defined by The Hammersley Connection. To find out more about how to propose a candidate, please log onto The Hammersley Connection website: www.thehammersleyconnection.com and look at the membership section. You may also request more application forms via the site.

Accounts and Direct Debit

Your membership allows you to charge items to your membership account, if this is set up. Should you use this method of payment, please hand your membership card to the member of staff serving you and sign the receipt to verify the charge. You will receive a statement monthly, either by post or email, showing all the transactions that have been charged and any payments received. This should be settled by the last day of the month following that in which the transaction was rendered. If you use your member’s account regularly and you settle your account by direct debit, you can set up a regular advance payment and receive an additional 5% credit for you to use enjoying The Hammersley Connection’s facilities.

Mobile Phones

The use of mobile phones is restricted when events and meetings are taking place.

Smoking

In line with legal requirements Warren House and The Hammersley Connection are non smoking site and therefore clients are respectfully requested to utilise outside areas should they need to smoke.

A smoking area will be available by the main dining room accessed from the door by the library. This area will be restricted after 10pm, after which time the front car park area should be used for smoking purposes.

Reciprocal Clubs

The Hammersley Connection is setting up arrangements with other clubs of similar standing. Details will be circulated through the newsletter and also made available on the website. If you would like further information please ask our Hospitality Team for more information on 020 8974 7116.

Events

The Hammersley Connection has a dedicated hospitality team who arrange events. Quite a few members attend events alone, where they can socialise with other members, or you are welcome to invite guests.

There is something to suit everyone’s choice of entertainment including informal evenings in the Lounge, gourmet dinners, social, sports, music events, wine tastings, literary lunches and dinners, together with seasonal functions such as Burns Night, Mother’s Day, Easter and Christmas events.

Activities

The Hammersley Connection offers a number of social activities that provide a good opportunity to meet other members. These include ladies luncheons and social dinners while events with guest speakers take place throughout the year. Restricted Use of all or part of the Venue during Special Events

Warren House may restrict the use of all, or part of the venue during exclusive events booked through the Conferences and Weddings Departments. In these cases, advance notice would be placed on the website.
